OK everyone call this number 1 time for every time you've been called and ask them to stop.
Basically you probably signed up to win a car at a mall, fare or something like that.
Silverleaf contacted one of their many recruiting companies to hound folks. I got 10 calls on my cell today. Having an autistic child, this isn't a joke. So you can
1. Contact the BBB of Dalas via online
2. Hit the https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint
3. Block the number

Silverleaf Resorts (There are a number of companies listed under this name. Not sure if they are all affiliated. Remember, Silverleaf is not calling you. The Awards Verification Center is, presumably contracted by Silverleaf, is.
I filled out a prize form to win a car at a display at Retama Park (horse race track), Selma, Texas. After glancing at the terms on the back of the form, I saw that it was an attempt to sell me timeshares, so I put a big 'X' through my information on the front. Although my information was not yet complete, I HAD already signed the form. Carelessly, I just threw it into their box for the forms, hoping the 'X' would take care of me (couldn't seem to see a trashcan near the display - SURPRISE!)
What does the form say? For starters, under the BIG word WIN on front, it clearly says "Winners notified by phone and/or mail". Additionally, under the signature line, the following: "I agree to the Official Rules on the back of this form....I understand that I will be contacted by telephone and/or mail." And, finally, near the bottom of the lengthy terms on back, "By submitting this form, you waive any do not call restrictions for the sponsor and grant the sponsor permission to contact you by telephone or mail."
By the way, the reason I now know all this is because they sent my entry form back to me along with my "notification of winning".
The form states that if you have any questions regarding the promotion, call 1-800-720-5731 or contact by mail at the address above.

Here's their standard reply to BBB and donotcall complaints:
The complaint filed by XXXXX was received and reviewed. Ms. XXXXX filled out an entry form that clearly stated that she would be contacted by phone. We have added her name and number to our "Do Not Call" and "Do Not Mail" lists so she should not receive any further communications from us. they hang up when i answer they call 7-15 times a day and never leave a message annnnooooyyyiiinnngggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call all day long and never leave a message. Called ID is blocked. Ignore them.

They call my work cell phone 20 times a day, but never leave a message. My husband finally called them back and reached a live body. Beware, this is a scam! My husband started by telling her if the award required sitting through a property sales pitch we were not interested. She assured him it wasnt so he handed me the phone to obtain the details. The rep explained I had won either money, vacation, or a car. Seems I filled out one of those "Win a car" slips at the mall. I had made the mistake of actually giving these people my number! She stated, all I had to do is drive 2 hours from my home. Once there I would receive a scratch off that determines the prize. Money, vacation, or a car. Then after I receive my prize, if I am interested, I can ride around and view the "resort" and receive another prize afterwards.
So there you go......You drive to their property, receive a grand prize of roughly $10-$20 and then you have to sit through a sales pitch for some time share or similiar type property purchase. Then you recieve some cheap door prize for your time. My parents did this in the 70's for lake front property. I think the door prize was actually a blow up raft that could fit one small child and the money didnt even pay for the gas it took to get to the "resort." I told the lady I wasnt interested and to please not call again. Within 1 minute (serioulsy) a different rep called me again from the same number. My husband then abruptly told her we had JUST spoken with another rep and told them the answer is NO and to STOP calling me!!!
Do you really want anything that someone is offering that requires this much harrassment on their end?
